Postdoctoral positions are available immediately to work in the areas of immunotherapy, microRNA, and cancer biology. The focus of the lab is on the interactions between radiation and oncogenic signaling pathways, microRNAs and the immune system. The approaches we use encompass mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and mouse genetics. Our laboratory has a strong translational focus, with the goal of having most of our projects produce clinically relevant biomarkers or therapeutics for lung cancer within 3−4 years.

This position will report to Dr. James Welsh, leader of the radiobiology group within the Heymach Laboratory at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Ideal applicants will have hands on experience in immunology and molecular oncology, command of written and spoken English language, and a prior publication record. Experience with mouse models is a plus.
