We are looking for individuals with research experience in the area of energy and environmental systems engineering. Individuals applying for this position should have interest and research experience in modeling of fossil fuel-based energy conversion systems specifically in the conversion of natural gas, coal and oil to other forms of energy. The candidate should have experience in the development of techno-economic models for estimation of viability of these types of energy systems. The individual should also have some experience of process modeling using relevant tools (e.g., Aspen Plus).
The candidate is expected to carry out research on assigned project(s). The candidate will also have an opportunity to develop and initiate new research activities in the relevant areas and supervise junior researchers. The candidate would also have an opportunity of teaching relevant courses in engineering based on their background in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join an active group of researchers in the areas of energy and environmental systems engineering being supported by industry and government. The position is initially for one year and has a possibility of extension. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications. Desired Qualifications: The candidates should have a PhD in relevant engineering discipline with an emphasis on energy systems.
