The Post-Doc Initiative offers another career track in addition to the Junior Professorships and the leaders of Junior Research Groups. Positions awarded competitively and with their own budget create more room for independent research in the post-doc phase. Career coaching and intensive counseling prepares the post-docs for their next career step. Internationally advertised post-doc positions are offered in two different variants: early career postdoctoral positions for a period of two years and independent postdoctoral positions for a period of four years.
