Postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular biology : New York City, NY, United States

A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Our laboratory is utilizing state-of-the-art technologies including mouse genetics, in vitro ES cell differentiation, functional genomics, and cardiac electrophysiology to understand the roles of transcription factors and epigenetic regulators in regulating heart development and in cardiovascular pathogenesis. Please see our publications for further information: Cell 129:303-17 (2007); Trends Biochem Sci. 32:189-97 (2007); Nature 436:214-220 (2005). “Multifaceted roles of miR-1s in repressing the fetal gene program in the heart” in Cell Research (2014), “Inducible gene deletion in the entire cardiac conduction system using Hcn4-CreERT2 BAC transgenic mice” in Genesis (2014). Several other exciting papers will be coming out soon. Recently we have made very exciting progress on understanding the development and function of the cardiac conduction system, so we want to have new talented postdocs to join our team to move those promising projects forward faster.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is among the top 20 medical schools.
