Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Discovery Immunology

Responsibilities:
The Department of Discovery Immunology is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to work on novel aspects of cytokine biology. The historical interest of the lab has mainly been centered around IL-27 and IL-23, and we have more recently extended it to include regulation of microbiota, metabolic homeostasis, and fibrosis by these and other cytokines. The successful applicant will be able to hit the ground running, as several projects with exciting preliminary data are available for continuation and completion. In addition, the person in this position has an opportunity and is indeed expected to develop and pursue his or her own project ideas. He/she will be able to take advantage of cutting edge technologies and excellent support facilities, and will frequently interact with more than 100 postdoctoral fellows from a broad variety of scientific disciplines.

Requirements: 
The Department is seeking a highly motivated individual with a PhD in Immunology and a proven track record of scientific accomplishment in the form of top quality, first-author publication(s). These publications will attest to the candidate’s independence, creativity, and productivity. The successful candidate will also have broad technical skills including standard molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunology techniques, and ideally will have done some in vivo work. Solid command of the English language, both spoken and in writing is an absolute requirement.
