Postdoctoral Fellow Opportunity
Geisinger Health System (GHS) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the laboratory of Anne Moon, MD, PhD at the Weis Center for Research located on Geisinger Medical Center’s (GMC) campus in Danville, Pa.The research focus for this position is the functions of Fgf and T-box transcription factors in vivo during mouse embryonic development.
Job Requirements:
- PhD or MD with a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry
- Experience in mouse genetics and development and cell biology is also desirable
- Experience with a broad range of molecular and cellular biology techniques, including cloning, EMSA, ChIP, Northern blotting, SDS-PAGE, microarray analysis, immunohistochemistry, confocal and epifluorescence microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and cell culture
- Proven ability to design and implement experiments, supervise junior laboratory personnel, and present and publish results
The Weis Center for Research provides a collegial environment and outstanding opportunities for collaborative research. Technical resources include instrumentation for confocal, TIRF, and single cell fluorescence imaging, microarray analysis, genotyping, DNA sequencing, and flow cytometry, and an AAALAC-accredited animal facility. Substantial resources are available for start-up, ongoing research support and salary.
