A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Cancer Biology Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Our studies focus on cellular and molecular basis underlying brain tumor initiation and progression. The successful candidate will work on the interaction between tumor cells and their microenvironment (stromal cells) based on cell and mouse models, with the aim to translate the findings into improved tumor treatment. The Fox Chase Cancer Center is consistently ranked as one of the best places to work for postdocs. Our institution boasts an impressive array of research facilities comparable to much larger institutions, including applications of the latest technology. Fox Chase Cancer Center is located in a quiet, park-like section of Philadelphia, but still very close to everything that this historic, yet vibrant city has to offer. This position requires a recent PhD/MD in biology or related majors. Experience with animal handling is strongly recommended.
