Postdoctoral fellowship position in diabetes and metabolism research is available in Dr. Mehboob A. Hussain's laboratory at Johns Hopkins University. The laboratory uses genetic mouse models to investigate the pathogenic mechanisms of metabolic dysregulation. diabetes mellitus and pancreatic endocrine cell physiology and pathophysiology, This is an excellent opportunity to develop an academic career with the potential to developing towards independent faculty status.
A background training using genetic mouse models, metabolism and diabetes research, mouse physiology, small animal surgical techniques would be an advantage.
