This post is available until 31 January 2019 and will involve working with the High-Performance and Distributed Computing Research Cluster to carry out research on the design and implementation of programming models for large-scale data analytics (Spark, Storm) on heterogeneous micro-servers with virtualised hardware accelerators, as part of the Horizon 2020 project VINEYARD.
The successful candidate will integrate libraries of hardware accelerated algorithms into Spark and Storm and extend the data and task distribution functionalities of these programming models to leverage hardware accelerators.
Anticipated interview date: week commencing 2 May 2016
Starting salary: £31,656 per annum
