Job Description:
The main research activity in our lab is to develop stochastic and biophysical models of eukaryotic gene regulation. Our work lays at the interface between bioinformatics and biophysics combining tools and methods from both fields to develop mechanistic models of transcription regulation based on both large-scale genome-wide and single-cell imaging data.
We are offering a postdoc position to develop a biophysical model of transcriptional regulation by integrating ChIP-seq and 4sU-seq data in a coherent mathematical framework. The main goal of the model will be: i) to explain the temporal patterns of RNA synthesis from the dynamics of TFs and histone modifications; and, ii) to predict the outcome of perturbation experiments through RNAi.

Profile:
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. Strong mathematical background, experience in bioinformatics and good programming skills are required. Strong motivation and a good capacity to work in a team in a multidisciplinary environment are also important. Written and spoken English will be necessary for communication in the team and with other groups.
