Vacancy Description

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates to join the successful Sarcoma Molecular Team led by Professor Janet Shipley

The successful applicant for this post will have responsibility for driving a project to identify new therapeutic strategies for DSRCT and other tumours with genetic rearrangements of the EWS gene. This will be based on analysing molecular profiling data of tumours and investigating models to decipher the potential impact that heterogeneity has on resistance to chemotherapy and identifying pathways associated with progression that can be therapeutically targeted. The position is funded from an award by the Kelly Turner Foundation.

The appointment will be either on the PDF or IT scales as most appropriate for 1 year in the first instance and dependent on the level of relevant experience offered.
