Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow for the Department of Medicine – Infectious Diseases, within the New Jersey Medical School. The Project focuses on using multi-disciplinary approaches to elucidate immune protective mechanisms against M. tuberculosis infection and progression to tuberculosis disease. Under direction of a faculty member, the Post-Doctoral Fellow performs technical research activities within a laboratory; assists in the conduct of highly specialized and technical research.

Conducts human immunology experiments and analysis of acquired data.
Works under minimal supervision and contributes to experimental design.
Prepares manuscripts for publication of data generated.
Conducts part of the research work in collaborating laboratories at international sites.
Assists in training graduate students and technicians and performs other related duties as assigned.
Drafts biosafety protocols and amendments.
Demonstrates perfect compliance with BSL3 rules and guidelines.
Participates in the evaluation of the existing procedures, suggesting revisions where necessary and proposing new procedures where required.
Assists in the implementation of the programs and projects in special areas of interest to the department.
