Post-doctoral positions available for highly motivated and creative candidates to join the Samuel Bakhoum Laboratory in the Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program (HOPP) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).
Candidates with a background in cell biology, tumor immunology, and biochemistry are highly encouraged to apply.
The Bakhoum laboratory focuses on understanding the role of chromosomal instability (CIN) in tumor evolution. Projects will involve the use of genetic and functional analyses to characterize the mechanisms by which CIN shapes critical cancer processes such as metastasis, therapeutic resistance, and immune evasion. A special emphasis will be placed on elucidating the cellular pathways involved in cytosolic DNA sensing and processing.
A description of ongoing projects in the laboratory can be found here:

Approaches utilized will include high-resolution imaging, mouse models, single-cell genomics, molecular cloning, Next-Generation sequencing, and biochemical assays.
Postdoctoral researchers will have direct access to state-of-the-art super-resolution microscopy as well as world-class animal and core facilities available at MSKCC. Furthermore, they will be part of a vibrant scientific environment fostered by collaborative efforts among the Tri-Institutions, which include the Rockefeller University and Weill Cornell Medicine.
MSKCC offers subsidized housing in New York City, in addition to numerous resources for career development.
