Job Description
The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate. The Postdoctoral Associate will have the opportunity to employ state-of-the-art techniques in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, in vivo confocal/multiphoton imaging, and flow cytometry. This position works under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Malek and will involve working with laboratory mice and human lymphocytes.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: doctoral degree in Microbiology/Immunology or a closely related field of study. Research experience in the field of Microbiology/Immunology. Skills in immune assays, mouse models of autoimmunity, protein biochemistry, gene expression and/or molecular biology techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to pay close attention to detail, ensuring strict accuracy in work.
