About the School of Creativity and Art at ShanghaiTech
ShanghaiTech is a young resource-rich university with a modern residential campus in the heart of Shanghai Pudong’s Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. Established in November in 2017, School of Creativity and Art aims to develop an institute of higher education that is at the forefront of our country. About the Lab for Experiential and Affective Design (LEAD)
LEAD was established in 2020 with the vision of applying scientific knowledge to the product design discipline. Our mission is to provide designers with tools for assessing emotional needs, and construct heuristics and patterns that enable better optimized design choices.
We collaborate with academic and corporate research labs in the areas of social cognition, artificial intelligence, adaptive systems, human-computer interactions, affective computing, and in industries such as medical devices, consumer electronics, mobile communications, transportation, robotics, and more.
 
The Software Engineer Position
This position is for the Shmueli research group. Our focus is in creating new systems and experiences, and measure user responses. We work with a range of tools such as AR/VR, biometrics, IoT, cameras with facial recognition, and plan to develop wearable devices for field research.
We are seeking a software engineer to work in our lab on exciting research projects.
This position is for a full-time for recent graduates.

    •   Program tools in using Unity for VR.
    •   Develop and maintain proprietary software apps and analytical models.
    •   Work closely with lab managers to select tools, establish, and follow practices that assure quality, portability, safety, security, and privacy.
    •   Work collaboratively and effectively as part of interdisciplinary research teams.
    •   Implement UI for screens and VR.
    •   Implement 3D VR animations, UI, sound, interfaces with biosensors, and massive data storage.
 
招聘條件：
 
    •   Undergraduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.
    •   Some experience with a modern high-level programming language such as C#, C++, Python, etc.
    •   Some experience working with numerical/statistical libraries.
    •   Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
    •   Good level English for daily interactions. Intermediate level English for professional written communications.
